010 SPANISH MOSS

My recording software (Logic X) asks you to name a song when you set up a project. I've got a list of potential song names and I pick the one that seems appropriate.

As I was setting up this recording I looked out the window from our kitchen and saw some amazing Spanish moss dripping out of the trees. Nuff said, that's where the title came from.

I was sort of channeling Spanish moss during the performance so I've got that going for me :-)

009 SPACE, relaxing atmospheric music by Mark King

There are no photos of outer space in this video, sorry. It's just another relaxing shot of the pond behind my house. This time it's Ibis (the white birds with long curved beaks whom we call "Sneetches"). You can see a few Blackbelly Whistling Ducks on the far grassy beach.

Space is where you find it. The wildlife loves the space here on our farm in Florida (and we love them too).

008 BUTTERFLIES relaxing atmospheric music by Mark King

Please note, there are NO butterflies in the video portion of this program, the song title is "Butterflies" and if you listen carefully with your eyes closed you can see the Monarchs flitting and floating around  our nursery garden in Florida.

You can help save the Monarchs by planting Milkweed which is the ONLY thing they eat. Roundup has pretty much killed off all this annoying plant and now the critters that feed on it are sad.

Help reverse the trend, plant some Milkweed seeds and give these beautiful butterflies a place to call home.

001 WELCOME

ABOUT THIS SONG
I started creating the keyboard track and song framework this morning at around 9:30am. By noon I was finishing up the drums. After an afternoon nap I began writing the guitar track and theme. I finally recorded this version live around 7PM this evening. After that I whipped up the video and here it is at 8:10PM.

I love writing like this. It forces me to study the chords and the key which keeps my old brain clicking along.

BTW the song title is "001 Welcome"
